2014 Premium Reserve Mixed Wine , Margaret River by Chapman Grove, Tasting Notes: For the lover of fine wine, this Premium mixed carton will delight anyone.. Tasting notes 2014 Vintage gave us a very wet winter but an almost perfect vintage. The dense blossom canopy provided a distraction for the birds and the consistent warm dry days enabled us to manage fruit quality and ripening. 4 bottles of Chapman Grove Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon 2014: 91 Points James Halliday Machine harvested at night, crushed and de-stemmed, pressed to French oak (25% new, the balance with staves) for 14 months. Beautiful deep rich red colour which is an indication of the depth of fruit flavour in this wine. Typical regional characters of cedar, bramble and char on the nose with a long finish on the palate, wrapped up with fine grained tannins. Screwcap Alc/Vol 13.4% drink to 2029, 4 bottles of Chapman Grove Reserve Shiraz 2014: 92 Points James Halliday Machine harvested at night , crushed and de-stemmed, pressed to French oak (25% new and the balance in staves) for 12 months. This is classic cooler climate Shiraz with beautiful perfumes on the nose and lovely fleshy fruit flavours on the palate, the tannins are soft and generous combining to give the wine a well structured finish. Screwcap Alc/Vol 13.4% drink to 2034. 4 bottles of Chapman Grove Reserve SSB 2014: 95 Points James Halliday All flint and gunmetal, sees time in oak and is accordingly textural and soft, but not so that it curbs the juicy flow of flavour. A reserve with its drinkability intact; notable for that reason alone. Screwcap Alc/Vol 12.5%
